Safer orthodontic care comes standard with us
If you’re concerned about COVID-19 and going to an orthodontist, you’ll be pleased to know that your safety is our top priority. In fact, long before the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Kristo Orthodontics established a standard of safety that few other orthodontists can match.
All along, we’ve maintained strict infection and cross-contamination prevention standards, even exceeding the recommended guidelines for orthodontic safety by the American Dental Association (ADA), the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). So rest assured, Kristo Orthodontics will continue to take all necessary precautions to protect the safety and well-being of every patient we treat.
Keeping you safe from COVID‑19
Please familiarize yourself with the following changes, so that you’ll know exactly what to expect regarding COVID-19 and going to your orthodontist. Below, we’ve listed some of the added orthodontic safety measures that will be in place during your next visit with us.
Patient arrival
During the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve pushed our usual advanced orthodontic safeguards even further, providing the orthodontic care you need in the safest possible environment. To ensure orthodontic safety, we’re following the CDC recommendations for social distancing. In keeping with their guidelines, we’ve implemented additional orthodontic safeguards in every Kristo clinic.
Limit the number of people with you
Wear a mask or other face covering
Practice social distancing
Waiting room changes
For your safety, we are also trying to minimize your contact with other patients while in our waiting room. You’ll notice some changes during your next visit, such as:
Hand sanitizer use required
Minimized high‑touch surfaces
Limited, socially distanced seating
Temporarily suspended refreshments
Staff requirements
As you can see, your Kristo Orthodontics team is doing everything possible to alleviate concerns related to COVID-19 and orthodontic treatment. We thank you in advance for doing your part, too.
